The production company Pan Entertainment behind the highly-acclaimed drama ‘When Life Gives You Tangerines’ has seen its stock price skyrocket following the show’s successful release.

Starring IU and Park Bo Gum, the Netflix Original romance drama premiered on March 7, with 4 episodes slated to release each week. 

The first four episodes of ‘When Life Gives You Tangerines’ are out, and fans are obsessed. The chemistry between the leads is undeniable, and the show’s one-of-a-kind storyline has become a hot topic.

Pan Entertainment’s stock is soaring after the company released the drama with a massive 60 billion won budget on Netflix. As of 9:10 am today, shares of Pan Entertainment surged 10.21% to 2,915 won, a gain of 270 won from the previous day’s close.

It’s clear that investors are counting on the drama to be a major hit, and that’s why the company’s stock price is on the rise.

‘When Life Gives You Tangerines’ is Netflix’s one of the most highly-anticipated releases of 2025 after the widely popular “Squid Game”. The drama is a collaboration between superstars IU and Park Bo Gum, acclaimed director Kim Won Seok (‘Arthdal Chronicles’, ‘Signal’, ‘My Mister’), and writer Lim Sang Choon (‘When the Camellia Blooms’). 

Fans have been waiting for the release for over two years since the star-studded cast was first announced in 2022.

Set in 1950s Jeju, South Korea, ‘When Life Gives You Tangerines’ follows Ae Sun (IU), a passionate young girl who loves to read. She could not attend school due to her family’s poor financial situation. Gwan Sik (Park Bo-Gum) is a kind-hearted and devoted young man who loves and respects her.

Meanwhile, ‘When Life Gives You Tangerines’ premiered exclusively on Netflix on March 7. The upcoming release schedule is as follows

    – March 14: Episodes 5-8

    – March 21: Episodes 9-12

    – March 28: Episodes 13-16 (series finale)

The series will be presented in four acts, each set in a different season (spring, summer, fall, and winter).
