Ever since his popularity soared with the success of Queer of Tears, the 36-year-old actor has been romantically linked to a co-star, former labelmate, and a K-pop idol.
Kim Soo Hyun’s celebrity status has made him a magnet for dating rumors, with the latest speculations linking him to Kim Sae Ron, Lim Nayoung, and Kim Ji Won.
Kim Sae Ron
Kim Soo Hyun and Kim Sae Ron were formerly labelmates under the Gold Medalist agency until her contract expired following a drunk driving incident.
In March, the 23-year-old actress sparked dating rumors when she posted a cozy photo with the Queen of Tears actor. Gold Medalist swiftly denied the rumors and announced legal action against anyone spreading misinformation.
Kim Sae Ron initially promised to release a statement to clarify the rumors. However, she later backtracked, deciding to maintain her silence and neither confirm nor deny the rumors.
After the drunk driving incident, Sae Ron has not appeared in any acting projects and is reportedly working at a cafe in Seoul.
Lim Nayoung
Nearly three months later, in June, rumors surfaced about Kim Soo Hyun’s alleged relationship with Lim Nayoung, a former I.O.I member and an actress.
Taiwan’s ET Today reported that the rumors started after the two were spotted together at the Ultra Music Festival Korea 2024 on June 7. However, his agency, Gold Medalist, quickly denied the rumors, stating that they were entirely baseless.
Lim Nayoung’s agency, Mask Studio, also clarified that the two simply ran into each other at the festival and were not together, explaining that the noise level was so high that they had to whisper to communicate.
Kim Ji Won
Last but not least, rumors of Kim Soo Hyun and Kim Ji Won’s alleged romance have been circulating since their drama Queen of Tears aired. It was initially dismissed as mere fan fantasy and speculation, with no substantial basis or evidence to support the rumors.
However, the dating rumors gained traction when Kim Soo Hyun’s bodyguard was seen accompanying Kim Ji Won at the airport. Later, eagle-eyed fans spotted them wearing similar jackets.
The recent Instagram post of the It’s Okay To Not Be Okay actor triggered baseless relationship rumors with Kim Ji Won due to their matching outfits and poses in the photos. Although he swiftly removed three of the four pictures, the short-lived post still fueled dating rumors.
On the work front, he has already signed his next project and is set to star in Knock Off, opposite Jo Bo Ah.
