After over 2 years, former Wanna One member Yoon Jisung is parting ways with agency, DG Entertainment.
DG Entertainment, founded by Gil Jong Hwa in 2022, is home to EL7Z UP, Kim Sein, Lee Soyeon, Lee Sumin, and Takaya Funa. The 33-year-old idol joined the agency shortly after it was established.
On June 27, DG Entertainment announced that both parties had decided to terminate the contract after sufficient discussion, “After sufficient discussion with Yoon Jisung about his future activities, we agreed to respect each other’s opinions and terminate the exclusive contract as of June 26, 2024.”
They expressed gratitude to him for being under their management as an artist and vowed to support his future endeavors.
They decided to end their partnership after about two years and two months of being together, following the signing of an exclusive contract in April 2022.
Yoon Jisung first debuted as the leader of Wanna One in August 2017, a project group formed through Mnet’s reality show ‘Produce 101’ Season 2. He gained immense popularity during his time with the group.
After Wanna One disbanded, he launched her solo music career in February 2019. Following her military service in 2021, he expanded her career into acting, appearing in the drama Let Me Be Your Knight.
