The 33-year-old singer has signed a contract with R&D Company to pursue solo endeavors.

R&D Company manages popular artists including BIGBANG’s Daesung, Navi, Kisum, Park Sun Yae, Lylian, Kyoung Seo, Shin Joo Ah, Chun Myung Hoon, and more.

On July 1, the label welcomed her, stating, “We are happy to welcome Nam Youjoung, who is active in various fields, as a new member of our family.”

They vowed to support her through diverse solo activities.

In 2016, She debuted as a member of Brave Girl, a girl group formed by Brave Entertainment. The group went through multiple lineup changes before eventually disbanding in February 2023.

Four months after the disbandment of Brave Girls, four members of the group Youjoung, Eunji, Yuna, and Minyoung formed BBGIRLS. They signed with Warner Music Korea in 2023 after parting ways with Brave Entertainment.

After their contract with Warner Music Korea expired in April 2024, Youjoung departed from the group, and the remaining members – Minyoung, Eunji, and Yuna – chose to continue as a trio, under a GLG label’s BBGIRLS Company.

Youjung is now ready for a fresh start with R&D Company and fans can expect new music soon.
