The YouTube channel Sojang will no longer be able to capitalize on spreading false information and defamation about idols.

The Incheon District Prosecutors’ Office has charged the person who runs the YouTube channel Sojang with defamation and insult.

Park was indicted on May 14, but was not arrested. The YouTuber is accused of breaking the law by spreading false and hurtful information online.

Action was taken to stop Park made money from his defamatory videos about IVE and Jang Wonyoung. The creator of the channel was ordered to freeze the profits from these videos, so the creator can’t use or access the money.

On May 20, the prosecution’s request to seize additional assets was granted. The assets to be seized, valued at 200 million won, include real estate and deposit bonds owned by Park.

Park made a monthly profit of at least 10 million won by producing and sharing inflammatory and false content. The investigation revealed that he amassed a total of 250 million won in illegal earnings over two years.

Jang Wonyoung is also seeking compensation from the channel creator through a separate lawsuit. The first trial ruled in Jang Wonyoung’s favor, but Park appealed. A mediation attempt was made, but it was unsuccessful, and the case will likely proceed to further legal proceedings.
