ZEROBASEONE Sets Sights on 2024 MAMA AWARDs Daesang (Grand Prize)

ZEROBASEONE won the Favorite New Artist award at the 2023 MAMA Awards and several Best Rookie awards at year-end domestic award ceremonies.

This year is off to a great start for the K-pop group, with a successful debut in Japan and now their first comeback.

On May 13, ZEROBASEONE talked about their new album at the press conference held to commemorate the release of You had me at HELLO. The press conference was held at Blue Square Mastercard in Yongsan-gu, Seoul.

During their press conference, ZEROBASEONE shared their ambitious goal of winning the highly coveted Daesang at the MAMA Awards this year.

When they made their debut, ZEROBASEONE made quite a splash by winning awards like ‘Best New Male Artist’ at the ‘2023 MAMA Awards’ and performing at the Gocheok Sky Dome within just a month. They even achieved the impressive feat of being double million-sellers with their first two mini albums. 

When asked about any pressure the group felt for their comeback considering previous albums were a success. Sung Hanbin expressed, “We were able to achieve good results thanks to the grateful attention we received for our first and second albums. I felt that this third album was really important.”

Regarding the message of the new album, “It is a story of a fateful meeting that continued from the first to the second album and the completion of that confession.”

The group came up with a refreshing concept for their summer comeback. Their album is all about youth, brimming with the joy and happiness that love brings.

Fans are curious to see what kind of record they will set with their upcoming release. Lastly, they became a double million-seller with two back-to-back albums, therefore, expectations are at an all-time high.
