Earlier this month, there was a controversy involving Kim Ji Woong from ZEROBASEONE, as he was accused of using profanity during a fansign event.

On February 17, Dispatch released a voiceprint analysis that revealed no evidence of swearing. Fans breathed a sigh of relief as the controversy surrounding Kim Ji Woong from ZEROBASEONE was finally resolved after weeks of uncertainty.

After being cleared of allegations, Kim Ji Woong shared a heartfelt post on Mnet Plus Community. He began his post by saying, “You’ve been waiting for a long time right? My heart felt heavy the whole time.”

He further added, “I’m sorry for worrying ZEROSES who had always been by my side no matter what and believed in me. I don’t think I could be at ease knowing that I wasn’t the only one who had to deal with it, but ZEROSE who was upset and had to spend difficult days because of it.”

The ZEROBASEONE member concluded his post by saying, “It may feel like such a long time has passed but I’m just grateful to be able to say these words now. I will continue to be there for you and do my best so you can smile and be happy.”

Earlier today, WakeOne released a statement regarding the evaluation of the video. They requested a special analysis from the Sejong Law Firm, which involved examining the glottal characteristics of the voice in the video.

The pronunciation of “Thank you” and the alleged profanity were analyzed. After analyzing the frequency response waveforms, it was determined that the pitch and height were different, indicating that the voices came from different speakers.
