Amidst the controversy surrounding Kim Jiwoong from ZEROBASEONE and the alleged swearing incident, WakeOne Entertainment has issued a statement addressing the situation.
An official from WakeOne informed Korean media outlets saying, “After checking with himself (Kim Jiwoong), [the allegation] is not true.. We have also confirmed with the staff and interpretation staff who were present at the scene at the time.”
On January 27, Kim Jiwoong from ZEROBASEONE had a video call autograph event with a fan. However, there are suspicions raised by a fan who claimed that Kim Ji-woong swore at the end of the call.
Regarding this matter, WakeOne firmly refuted the allegations. They also indicated their intention to take decisive action by saying, ““In order to confirm accurately and objectively, we will use various methods, including digital media forensics, to clearly determine whether the facts are true or not.”
Moreover, the agency promised strong legal action against individuals who spread misinformation about ZEROBASEONE members.
