Kim Jiwoong of ZEROBASEONE is broadening his acting career with a confirmed special appearance in JTBC’s new weekend drama, Surely Tomorrow. Also known as Waiting for Gyeongdo, the series premieres on December 6, 2025, at 10:40 p.m. KST.
In the drama, Kim Jiwoong plays Oh Gun, a character who appears to be an ordinary college student but stands out for his exceptional information-gathering abilities. He plays opposite actress Lee El, who portrays Seo Ji Yeon.
Kim Jiwoong’s acting journey began before his appearance on Boys Planet. He made his debut in the 2021 web drama The Sweet Blood, and later gained popularity through the 2022 BL web series Kissable Lips.
He continued building his portfolio with a supporting role in JTBC’s 2023 hit The Good Bad Mother and appeared in works such as Don’t Lie, Rahee, Convenience Store Junkies, and Pro, Teen. He has also featured in music videos, including Shin Yong Jae’s “So What, If the Flowers Are Pretty” and Lim Han Byeol’s song.
Surely Tomorrow is a romance drama that follows the third chapter in the complicated relationship between reporter Lee Gyeong Do, played by Park Seo Joon, and his ex-girlfriend Seo Ji Woo, played by Won Ji An.
The two dated in their early twenties, separated, reunited in their late twenties, and broke up again. Years later, they meet once more under painful circumstances: Gyeong Do is reporting on an adultery scandal, and Ji Woo is the wife of the man at the center of that scandal.
The drama is directed by Im Hyun Wook, known for King the Land and Reflection of You, and written by Yoo Young Ah, whose previous works include Thirty-Nine and Divorce Attorney Shin. It will air every Saturday and Sunday on JTBC at 22:40 KST and will also be available to stream internationally on Prime Video in select regions.
Kim Jiwoong’s casting comes at a busy time for ZEROBASEONE. The group, originally scheduled to conclude its project activities in January 2026, has extended its promotions until the end of March 2026. During this extended period, the group is preparing an encore concert and new music releases.
“Surely Tomorrow,” featuring Kim Jiwoong’s special appearance, officially premieres on December 6 at 10:40 p.m. KST.
