Zico has been receiving a lot of hate and criticism after the documentary related to the ‘Burning Sun’ scandal was released by BBC.

The SPOT! rapper is slammed for his ties to Burning Sun convicts, especially Jung Joon Young.

After the broadcast of I Want to Know That on June 22 by SBS, attention was drawn to the thief who took a safe from Goo Hara’s home shortly after her passing. A montage of the thief was shared, leading some netizens to speculate that it was Zico based on facial resemblances.

On June 24, a notice was uploaded on Weverse addressing the current legal actions being taken for rights infringement and providing details on how to report such incidents.

KOZ Entertainment shared in an official statement, “We have recently confirmed that malicious posts are being made indiscriminately about Zico, including defamation, insults, and spreading false information. Legal action is inevitable. The spread of malicious rumors and false facts is at a level that cannot be tolerated.”

The agency has already taken legal action against some online users and will continue to monitor and report harmful posts. They emphasize that the rumors surrounding Goo Hara’s passing are completely false and will be met with a strong stance.

The agency vowed to not let these malicious claims go unchecked and will take continuous action to protect Zico’s reputation.

KOZ Entertainment issued a stern warning, vowing to pursue legal action against those spreading false rumors with no leniency or compromise.

On the work front, Zico released a new single SPOT! featuring BLACKPINK’s Jennie in April.
