The much-anticipated 2025 MAMA Awards is officially set to take place in Hong Kong. After much speculation, CJ ENM has finally lifted the veil on the details, confirming that the grand event will unfold at the spectacular Kai Tak Stadium in November.
For the first time since 2018, the MAMA Awards are returning to Hong Kong in 2025. The event is planned to be roughly four times larger than previous iterations.
Last year, the award ceremony was held in LA and Osaka, attended by top stars like SEVENTEEN, Rosé, Bruno Mars, aespa, i-dle, TXT, ILLIT, TWS, and more.
MAMA Awards 2025 Dates and Venues
Presented by Visa, the 2025 MAMA AWARDS, a global K-pop awards ceremony hosted by CJ ENM, is set for November 28 and 29 at Hong Kong’s Kai Tak Stadium.
Opened in March of this year, Hong Kong’s Kai Tak Stadium is an ultra-large venue capable of hosting up to 50,000 people. The aim is to leverage this new landmark to deliver a unique stage and distinct production for the upcoming event.
The organizers stated, “This year, as Mnet celebrates its 30th anniversary, we are returning to Hong Kong, which has been the most frequent host city for the MAMA AWARDS and is emerging as a crucial K-pop performance market.”
Shin Hyung Gwan, Head of CJ ENM’s Music Content Business Division, stated, “We will prepare with our utmost effort to illuminate the artists and industry professionals who have shown brilliant activity leading K-pop trends throughout the year, and to showcase K-pop’s global competitiveness and stature.”
He added, “We will present iconic moments that combine the creative stage direction and technical expertise unique to the ‘MAMA AWARDS,’ which many people are eagerly anticipating.”
In 2024, aespa (Song of the Year) and SEVENTEEN (Album and Artist of the Year) won grand prizes, also known as Daesang. The lineup for this year’s MAMA is going to be even more spectacular than the previous one, which featured almost all the popular K-pop acts.
Visa, a global payment technology company, has been the exclusive title sponsor of the 2025 MAMA Awards.
