On the final night of 2025, the SBS Prism Tower in Seoul lit up as it hosted the 2025 SBS Drama Awards. The ceremony aired live on December 31 at 8:50 p.m. KST and brought the year to a close by honoring the best dramas and actors. This year’s show returned to its traditional New Year’s Eve broadcast for the first time in three years.
Veteran host Shin Dong Yup led the night, joined by actors Chae Won Bin and Heo Nam Jun.
The biggest focus of the evening was the Grand Prize, or Daesang, which drew heavy attention even before the ceremony began.
The nominee list included some of the industry’s most respected names, such as Go Hyun Jung for Queen Mantis, Han Ji Min for Love Scout, and Lee Je Hoon for Taxi Driver 3. Yoon Kye Sang from The Winning Try and Park Hyung Sik from Buried Hearts were also strong contenders. Lee Je Hoon took home Daesang for his outstanding performance in Taxi Driver 3.
Several dramas and actors were also recognized in major categories. Taxi Driver 3, which achieved huge ratings, won Drama of the Year. Jang Ki Yong and Ahn Eun Jin received the Best Couple Award for their chemistry in Dynamite Kiss.
In the Top Excellence categories, Yook Sung-jae and Kim Ji Yeon were honored for The Haunted Palace. Choi Woo Shik and Jung So Min won for Would You Marry Me. Lee Jun Hyuk and Han Ji Min also earned recognition for their work in Love Scout.
The night was further elevated by a glamorous lineup of 31 presenters, including Yoo Yeon Seok, Kim Ji Won, and last year’s Daesang winner Jang Na Ra.
The show opened with a lively performance by NCT WISH, who sang “To the End of This World,” an OST from Would You Marry Me. The awards aired live on SBS, and full replays are expected to be available later on SBS’s official streaming platforms and YouTube.
The 2025 SBS Drama Awards also revealed teasers for upcoming dramas, including Doctor X, Good Partner 2, Flex x Cop 2, and more.
