The highly-anticipated 2NE1 concert sold out rapidly, with over 400,000 fans queuing up for tickets.
Tickets for the highly anticipated ‘2024 2NE1 CONCERT [WELCOME BACK] IN SEOUL’ went on sale on August 5. The concert is scheduled for October 5-6 at the Olympic Hall in Seoul’s Olympic Park.
Notably, tickets were available for public purchase without a pre-sale period, which led to intense competition for tickets.
The first 2NE1 concert in over a decade since the ‘All About Nothing in Seoul’ back in March 2014 attracted such a massive crowd that the server crashed.
A whopping 400,000 fans were left waiting in the virtual queue as the Interpark Ticket website struggled to cope with the sheer volume of reservations.
Many fans who could not secure tickets for the 2NE1 concert, commemorating their 15th-debut anniversary, urged YG Entertainment to hold the concert at a bigger venue.
2NE1 members, including CL, failed to score tickets to their own concert, sharing a humorous video of their attempts on social media. Despite using multiple devices and apps, they were met with sold-out seats.
Back in July, YG Entertainment announced 2025 plans for its artists, including BLACKPINK comeback and world tour as well as the 2NE1 tour.
Since then, excitement has been building as fans will get to see 2NE1 perform after 10 years as a full group.
Following their debut shows in Seoul, the group will head to Japan for performances at the Kobe World Hall in late November and the Tokyo Ariake Arena in early December.
