Disney+ has unveiled its powerhouse lineup of Korean originals for the second half of 2025!
It features A-list actors and gripping narratives across genres—from political thrillers to historical mysteries, including The Murky Stream, Tempest, Made in Korea, and more.
On May 23, Walt Disney Company Korea held a “Disney+ Open House” event at its Seoul headquarters. It was attended by key figures, including Choi Yeon Woo, Head of Local Content, Kim Won Guk, CEO of Hive Media Corp., and Yoo Jeong Hoon.
Key Diseny+ Korea officials introduced the shows coming to the streaming platform in the second half of 2025. The highly anticipated drama, Knock Off, did not make the list due to the controversy surrounding the lead actor, Kim Soo Hyun. Originally scheduled to release in the first half of the year, the drama was delayed after details of his relationship with late Kim Sae Ron emerged after her death.
Regarding the release of Knock Off, Chei Yeon Woo shared, After careful internal review, we’ve decided to hold off, and that’s our official stance. As for anything beyond that, it’s difficult for me to answer.”
Although Knock Off is not on the list, the Disney+ lineup is filled with some must-watch K-dramas.
