Black Salt Dragon is a romance drama series based on the popular Naver webtoon by Hye Jin-yang. The show follows a story between two people who first met as online game characters and reunited 16 years later as boss and employee.
Moon Ga Young plays Baek Soo Jung, a determined and results-driven team leader at Yongseong Department Store. Her life is turned upside down when her new boss, Ban Joo Yeon (aka Black Salt Dragon played by Choi Hyun Wook), arrives, forcing her to confront their complicated past as online gaming rivals.
Choi Hyun Wook stars as Ban Joo Yeon, the head of strategic planning at Yongseong Department Store. Ban Joo Yeon hides her true identity as a ‘Black Salt Dragon’, and instead presents himself as a perfect conglomerate heir. However, his past online gaming experience still haunts him, particularly the rejection by his first love, ‘Strawberry’ (now her subordinate, Baek Soo Jung).
Moon Ga Young is a versatile actress known for her notable roles in dramas like True Beauty, Link: Eat, Love, Kill, The Interest of Love, and more.
On the other hand, Choi Hyun Wook has starred in many hit dramas including D.P. Season 2, Twenty Five Twenty One, Twinkling Watermelon, and more.
Lastly, tvN’s upcoming drama, Black Salt Dragon is set to premiere in the first half of 2025.
