BTS’ Jin was one of the torchbearers for the 2024 Paris Olympics, carrying the flame in a historic moment.
On Sunday, July 14, the 31-year-old singer participated as a torch relay runner for Paris Olympics 2024.
He flew to France on Thursday, July 11, to participate in this historic event. The Astronaut singer arrived at the venue surrounded by 30 French National Police CSR officers and welcomed with loud cheers from the ARMYs waiting.
Thousands of fans gathered at the entrance of the Louvre to catch a glimpse of the BTS oldest member, who has returned to the spotlight after completing military service.
The Olympic torch reached Paris on Sunday, coinciding with France’s national holiday – Bastille Day. This day marks the 234th anniversary of the Storming of the Bastille (July 14, 1789), a pivotal event that sparked the French Revolution.
At 8:30 p.m. on July 14, Jin proudly took the Olympic torch and began their leg of the relay at the Louvre Pyramid.
The domestic torch relay started in Marseille on May 8 and has been ongoing for over 2 months.
After arriving in Paris, the Olympic torch will be carried through various iconic locations in the city until Monday.
Then, it will leave Paris and travel to other parts of France before returning to the capital for the opening ceremony on July 26.
On the work front, Jin is set to drop his first album soon, the announcement is expected after his bandmate Jimin is done with the release of his second mini album, MUSE.
