Yechan, a member of the K-pop group OMEGA X, is set to make his screen debut in the movie Mad Dance Office.
On July 25, an official from his agency IPQ Entertainment (formerly Picturesque) confirmed that the 23-year-old K-pop star is cast in the upcoming movie Mad Dance Office.
Mad Dance Office is a comedy film about Gook Hee (played by Yeom Hye Ran), a strict and ambitious government employee who thinks perfection is the key to success.
However, when she accidentally discovers flamenco dancing, her life takes a dramatic turn.
Yechan plays the role of Choi Gong-ik, a lively and impulsive public service worker who joins the Hanbyeol-gu Office team.
With his athletic background and youthful energy, Choi Gong-ik often acts on impulse, but his good vibes and charming smile make him a breath of fresh air in the office. He forms a compelling partnership with the stern Planning Manager Gook Hee.
Mad Dance Office boasts an amazing cast including Yeom Hye Ran, Choi Seung Eun, Arin, Park Ho San, and more.
In addition to his film debut, Yechan has also shown his acting chops in the 2023 web drama A Shoulder to Cry On, where he played the complex role of Jo Tae-hyun, a boy with a hidden secret and a dual personality. Furthermore, Yechan is set to appear in the upcoming Genie TV original drama Your Honor, premiering on August 12.
