On August 27, Mnet officially announced that Road to Kingdom: ACE OF ACE will premiere on September 19 at 9:30 PM KST.
A total of 7 teams will be competing for Road to Kingdom 2 including YOUNITE, CRAVITY, TEMPEST, THE NEW SIX, ONEUS, The CrewOne (ATBO + Just B), and 8TURN.
Taemin from SHINee is set to host the show and guide the next generation of K-pop groups. With this, he is making his debut as a solo MC.
Road to Kingdom is a K-pop boy group survival program that highlights talented and promising groups.
After its first season in 2020, which served as a prequel to Kingdom, the show has been rebranded as a standalone series, focusing on showcasing and developing talented boy groups.
PD Jo Woo Ri, who previously directed the girl group stages in the 2019 hit show ‘Queendom’, is at the helm of ‘Road to Kingdom’ as the director.
