Rumors of Jae rejoining DAY6 have been swirling for weeks, but he is putting the speculation to rest once and for all.
Former DAY6 member Jae Park, now known as eaJ, made a special appearance on the popular American radio show ‘Zach Sang Show’ on September 12. He is currently pursuing a music career in the US and has no plans to rejoin the group.
On the show, Jae said, “There was this weird rumor going around, I don’t know where it came from ‘cause I have never said anything like that, It is absolutely not true.”
While he has no plans to join the group, he shared his concerns about being erased from DAY6 history, “I see people trying to erase me from the history of that band, when I have written a lot of songs, I have spent my 20s there and now I am just being erased.”
He wished well for the DAY6 members saying, “I respect them fully and I truly, genuinely wish them the best and they are going to be on top of the world and they kind of already are.”
Jae added, “I feel like I caused them a lot of burden, I truly only wish them success.”
When asked if regrets leaving DAY6, he shared, “At some points, yes… in the beginning when everything went down, maybe you shouldn’t have left, but now that I have come back and like fully assimilated and like gotten to relearn myself and like relive my ideals, I think that was the correct choice.”
Regarding DAY6’s EP Fourever, Jae revealed, “It kind of hurts… It is hard for me to watch DAY6 stuff because it reminds me of a lot of stuff. For a long time, it was hard for me to go to Korea, ‘cause every time I land, there is this feeling of anxiety and unsettling.”
He continued, “I feel like someone, not the band, is trying to erase me from the history of the band. I literally gave up my career in Korea for that team. I fought tooth and nail to promote however I could.”
On the work front, Jae Park recently released a song Burn (ft. Salem Ilese).
