Kim Sejeong, who is set to wow audiences in ENA drama “Brewing Love,” has been offered her first-ever historical drama role.
The 28-year-old singer and actress has been offered the female lead role in “The Moon Flows Over Lee Kang.” Meanwhile, Kang Tae Oh is also in talks to take on the male lead role.
Today (October 19), Kim Sejeong’s agency Jellyfish Entertainment told OSEN “Kim Sejeong has received an offer to appear in ‘The Moon Flows Over Lee Kang’ and is positively reviewing it.”
On October 18, TenAsia reported that Kang Tae Oh is set to make a comeback to the historical genre 5 years after his appearance in “The Tale of Nokdu” (2019).
MBC’s upcoming drama, tentatively titled ‘The Moon Flows Through This River,’ is a historical adaptation of the 2010 drama ‘Secret Garden’ starring Han Ji Won and Hyun Bin.
Kim Sejeong is currently considering the female lead role, while Kang Tae Oh, fresh from his breakout success in ‘Extraordinary Attorney Woo,’ has been confirmed as the male lead.
Kim Se Jeong debuted as an I.O.I member and later transitioned to acting with a drama debut in “School 2017” (2017). Her notable acting credits include “Business Proposal,” “The Uncanny Counter,” “Today’s Webtoon,” and more.
She is set to appear in the ENA drama “Brewing Love” opposite Lee Jong Won, premiering on November 4. On the other hand, Kang Tae Oh will appear in his first acting project after military discharge, “Potato Research Institute,” scheduled for 2025.
Meanwhile, the historical drama “The Moon Flows Over Lee Kang” is set to premiere next year.
