TXT has maintained their million-seller streak with four consecutive albums, selling over a million copies on its first day.
The group dropped their 7th mini-album “The Star Chapter: SANCTUARY” with title song “Over The Moon” on all music platforms on November 4.
“The Star Chapter: SANCTUARY” sold 1,217,880 copies on its first day, ranking third in the group’s highest first-day sales, according to Hanteo Chart.
It is now only behind “The Name Chapter: FREEFALL” (1,927,363 copies) and “The Name Chapter: TEMPTATION” (1,868,919). The sales figures surpassed their last release (“minisode3: TOMORROW”), which sold 1,187,103 copies on the first day.
TXT has made history by selling over 1 million copies in the first week for the fifth time in a row.
TXT’s “Star Chapter: Sanctuary” climbs up on global charts, ranking 2nd on the worldwide iTunes album chart and 1st in 25 countries. The title track “Over The Moon” reached 3rd on Bugs’ real-time chart, also charting on Genie and Melon.
“The Star Chapter: SANCTUARY” explores themes of love and a changed world through the lens of reconnection. “Over The Moon” is an uplifting pop love song that embraces a hopeful future.
TXT will celebrate their comeback with a live event, ‘The Star Chapter: SANCTUARY’, on Weverse at 11:30 PM today.
In other news, they are set to perform at MAMA Awards 2024 in Japan on November 22. Moreover, TXT will take the stage at Mexico’s AXE Ceremonia music festival in April 2025, the first K-pop act to do so.
