While there have been multiple fan communication platforms to communicate with K-pop idols, there has been no dedicated actor communication portal up until now.
Hiand, a platform connecting actors and fans, launched its pre-opening service today (November 6).
Lee Jong Suk, Park Seo Joon, and Ji Chang Wook are the first actors to join Hiand. As highly respected and beloved Korean stars, they have a huge global fanbase.
To celebrate the launch of the platform, these actors shared personalized greeting videos with fans. They look forward to communicating with fans, sharing memories, and the latest updates.
Hiand derives its name from the English words “Hi” (hello) and “And” (next time), symbolizing a space where global fans can frequently and intimately connect with actors.
The primary communication method utilizes direct messaging (DM) with automated translation, ensuring seamless interactions between global fans and actors. The platform also plans to introduce real-time video messaging and other interactive tools to deepen fan-actor relationships.
It launches in pre-open format until December, offering exclusive features like the “Star Lounge” for personalized actor interactions. Future updates include:
- Official membership programs
- Character and emoticon goods expanding actors’ IPs
- Online and offline events for fans to meet actors in person
- Unique experiences, content, and activities between actors and fans
The application is available for free download on Google Play and Apple App Store. Hiand has already announced its initial lineup of actors, including Lee Jong Suk, Park Seo Joon, and Ji Chang Wook. Fans can access exclusive greetings from these actors through the Hiand app, with more actor announcements to follow.
