Released on August 21, 2020, it surpassed 2 billion streams on Spotify, the world’s largest music streaming platform, on January 12.

‘Dynamite’ debuted at No. 1 on the ‘Daily Top Song Global’ chart – a first for a Korean artist. It also shattered records with the most streams on its first day of release. Furthermore, it became the first K-pop song to reach 1 billion streams on the platform.

BTS has made history as the first K-pop group to hit 2 billion streams on Spotify with a single track. “Dynamite” was a game-changing song for the group as they gained more international recognition.

They put Korean pop music on the global map and achieved many firsts with this catchy, standout track.

BTS became the first Korean act to top Billboard’s HOT 100 chart and held the position for the longest period. They also made history as the first Korean artist to receive a Grammy nomination. Furthermore, BTS surpassed 800 million streams for a single song on the Oricon chart, which is the first for a foreign artist.

‘Dynamite’ is a wildly addictive disco-pop track with a beat that’s impossible to sit still to. Its music video has racked up over 1.9 billion views on YouTube, the first BTS video to reach that milestone.

In other news, BTS is set to release more infectious music this year after the members complete military service.
