BTS member V aka Kim Taehyung recently made a captivating appearance on the popular Korean variety show You Quiz on the Block. As usual, V of BTS managed to look absolutely stunning, dressed in a pristine all-white ensemble that gives off a modern prince vibe.
In the episode, V shared insights into his upcoming album title, showcased his mesmerizing slow dancing choreography, and his relationship with his grandmother.
You Quiz on the Block: BTS V on Layover Album Title
The host of the show Yoo Jaesuk and Jo Seho asked V why he named his debut solo album, Layover. Since it is his debut album, it holds a special place and reflects his journey as a solo artist.
The Love Me Again singer said that the album title implies that there is no straight line to his life’s destination. V, further, said that he who had been running non-stop, looks back, and thinks about what I am good at, what I like and reach that destination at a slower/steady pace.
BTS V on Slow Dancing Choreo
When talking about the songs of the album, the hosts of the You Quiz on the Block asked about the Slow Dancing song. They asked V to give the audience a sneak peek at the choreography of the song.
The Rainy Days singer revealed that there is no fixed choreography, it is all going to be freestyle. Fans can expect V to do different things and go on a road less traveled. Similarly, he has proved it once again with the Slow Dancing choreo. He shared that the choreo will be different for each stage performance and the dancers will also do freestyle.
BTS V on his Relationship with His Late Grandmother
V stated that he slept embracing his grandmother every night when he was a kid. He shared some fond memories of her grandmother, the Blue singer revealed that he would sleep holding a pen and pretending it was a sword. Their faces would be covered in pen marks when they woke up.
Furthermore, BTS V shared that he got told off a lot by his grandmothers for drinking Bacchus (a local energy drink) meant for guests. V told the MCs that his grandmother suddenly fell ill and passed away while he was doing a concert.
He wished his grandmother could witness him perform in front of countless armys and see how much he’s grown.
It was touching to hear him say that he keeps the memories of his grandma in a special place within his heart. When he visits her cemetery, he brings Bacchus and pays his respects by talking to her and bowing. V even shares his aspirations with her, promising to do his best for his album to reach where she is, so she can listen to it.
Overall, V’s appearance on You Quiz on the Block provided a glimpse into his artistry, vulnerability, and genuine personality.
