S.Coups, the leader of SEVENTEEN, has been instrumental in crafting the group’s signature sound. He co-wrote and co-composed some of SEVENTEEN’s biggest hits, including

  • “Super”
  • “God of Music”
  • “Don’t Wanna Cry”
  • “Very Nice”
  • “Adore U”
  • “Pretty U”
  • “Fire”
  • “LALALI”

Woozi, who has produced most of SEVENTEEN’s music, was the first member to be promoted to regular member of Kothe rea Music Copyright Association in 2019. He has participated in the writing and composition of many hit songs such as “Maestro”, “LOVE, MONEY, FAME” (ft. DJ Khaled), “HOT”, “Spell”, “God of Music”, and more.

Last year, Vernon was promoted to regular member of KOMCA. His writing credits include “Left & Right”, “Rock With You”, “God of Music”, “Super”, “Fire”, and more.

CARATs are overjoyed that SEVENTEEN member S.Coups was selected as a regular member of KOMCA this year.

Younha has gained recognition for her singing and songwriting abilities. She has written and composed several hit songs, including “Event Horizon”, “Waiting”, and “Salbyul”. After writing and composing a series of hit songs, Younha was promoted as a regular member of KOMCA.

Lee Mu Jin rose to fame after finishing third on JTBC’s “Singer Gain”. He is known for his self-penned hits “Traffic Light”, “Crosswalk”, “Astronaut”, “Orpheus”, and “When It Snows”. He currently connects with fans through his YouTube series, Lee Mujin Service.

This year’s list of newly promoted regular members also features groups with 100% regular membership. Notably, Epik High and Groovy Room have achieved this distinction, with Tukutz (Kim Jung Sik) and Lee Hwimin, respectively, joining their group as regular members of the Korea Music Copyright Association.

Other artists included

  • Veteran musicians Park Yong Jun and Park Yong Jin, who have been active in the industry for over 30 years.
  • Trot singer Park Sang Chul
  • New composers like Kim Hee Soo and Noh Ju Hwan, Kim Jun Seong, Jeong Seok Hwan, Kim Yoon Ho, Hwang Yu Bin, and Jeon Byung Sun

Additionally, some past regular members were re-promoted, including Maybee (Kim Eun Ji) and The Quiett.

The list also features artists from non-pop genres, such as:

  • Children’s songwriter Choi Shin Gyu
  • Religious writer Jeong Seong Sil
  • Traditional Korean music writer Hwang Jin Ah

The Korea Music Copyright Association identifies and selects associate members each January from domestic music creators, including lyricists, composers, and arrangers. This selection process considers copyright fee earnings across multiple genres, such as popular music, traditional Korean music, children’s songs, and religious music.
