HYBE, the powerhouse behind K-pop sensations BTS, TXT, ENHYPEN, and LE SSERAFIM, is joining forces with acclaimed songwriter and producer Ryan Tedder to launch a new boy group in the United States.
On February 21, HYBE announced, “Chairman Bang Si Hyuk and Scooter Braun, CEO of HYBE America, have recently formed a partnership with Ryan Tedder and launched a new boy group production project.”
As part of this project, the entertainment agency has begun accepting applicants through the official HYBE America audition website.
Chairman Bang Si Hyuk stated, “HYBE music group artists have consistently achieved global success, topping prominent charts every year. Through KATSEYE, we proved that the K-pop methodology can succeed in the US mainstream market. Collaborating with Ryan Tedder to launch a new boy group is a significant step forward in leaving our legacy in the music industry.”
Ryan Tedder expressed his excitement, saying, “I am thrilled to be a part of this new and exciting project. We will create the most fan-centric group with the best music.”
With four Grammy Awards to his name, Ryan Tedder is a highly acclaimed American singer-songwriter and record producer. As the lead vocalist of OneRepublic, he has crafted hits for top artists, including Adele, Beyoncé, Leona Lewis, and Taylor Swift.

Since K-pop is loved all around the world, many Korean entertainment agencies are launching international groups. SM Entertainment established a British boy group “dearALICE” in partnership with Moon&Back Media, set to debut on February 21.
In addition, new K-pop groups such as KickFlip, Hearts2Hearts, and KiiiKiii will heat up the music scene. In addition, two of the biggest K-pop players HYBE and YG Entertainment will launch new groups this year.
