Lee Su Jeong of the now-disbanded group Lovelyz has parted ways with her agency Woollim Entertainment.
Also known as Baby Soul, she will be signing a contract with a new label to pursue entertainment activities. This move means all original members of Lovelyz have now cut ties with the label.
On February 28, Woollim Entertainment announced through a statement, “After careful discussion, we have agreed to terminate the exclusive contract with artist Lee Su Jeong.”
The statement continued, “Lee Su Jeong debuted as Lovelyz’s Baby Soul in 2014 and has received a lot of love for her diverse music activities. During her time with our agency, she showed a shining presence based on her outstanding talent and dedication.”
“We would like to express our gratitude once again to the fans who have loved and supported Lee Su Jeong. We ask for your continued interest and warm support for her future endeavors.”
Lee initially debuted as a solo artist under the stage name Baby Soul in 2011. She later joined Woollim Entertainment’s girl group Lovelyz, which debuted in 2014, and has been actively promoting with the group since then.
In November 2021, seven members (Yoo Jiae, Seo Jisoo, Lee Mijoo, Kei, Jin, Ryu Sujeong, and Jung Yein) decided not to renew their contracts, while Baby Soul chose to stay.
After the group disbanded, she changed her name to Lee Su Jeong and continued her activities as a solo singer.
Meanwhile, Lovelyz reunited to celebrate their 10th debut anniversary with a concert called “Lovelyz in Winterland 4,” which took place on November 16-17, 2024, at the Jamsil Students’ Gymnasium in Seoul.
