BTS’ V is giving fans a peek into his life in the military, and it’s clear he’s staying busy – and missing his ARMY. In a new update, V shared everything from his latest promotion to his favorite TV shows.
On March 3, the 29-year-old vocalist shared an update on the fan community platform Weverse. ARMYs were in for a treat as BTS leader RM also shared a heartfelt post on Weverse today.
V talked about his promotion in the military, weight gain goals, j-hope, and missing ARMY.
The “Love Me Again” singer shared an update from his military service, saying, “It snowed, so I shoveled. Had a snowball fight too—I’m pretty good at it.”
Three months before his military service ends, he has been promoted to a higher rank, “I’ve been promoted to Sergeant, 2nd class.
That means I’m now the second in command here. Soon, I’ll be #1.
Recently, I became a “Special Warrior.”
Worked out a lot for it.
Pushed too hard and cracked a rib once… but I’m fine now.”
V also shared an update on his weight gain goals as he looks quite buffed lately, “Currently on a diet—I’m at 70 kg.”
He added, “Been reading a lot.
Ina noona sent me tons of books.
Too many, actually—I can’t finish them all.
No insomnia here.
The moment I lie down, I’m out.
But waking up early? Still not used to it.”
V also talked about fans, “I miss ARMY a lot, so I keep watching concert videos.
I want to dance. I want to sing.
One of my juniors memorized the entire “Black Swan” choreography and asked me to check.
But… I forgot the choreo myself.”
He continued, “Lately, I’ve been watching “Buried Heart”. Park Hyung Sik is amazing.”
He dished on j-hope’s appearance on variety show and his recent solo concert in Seoul, “Also watched j-hope’s “I Live Alone” episode.
I’m officially a Jung Hoseok fan.
Really sad that I couldn’t attend the concert.
It was a chance to see ARMY…
Anyway! I miss you all!
I love you!.”
Meanwhile, BTS V began his military service in December 2023, and his military discharge is scheduled for June 10.
