Jennie’s debut album “Ruby” is selling like hotcakes before the official release.
The BLACKPINK star worked on this album for around a year and experimented with various genres of music. On top of that, the 15-track album features collaborations with many acclaimed international musicians.
Her long-awaited full-length album “Ruby” will be available for fans to stream tomorrow. This is Jennie’s first major solo release since leaving YG Entertainment and starting her own label, ODD ATELIER. She is now signed with Columbia Records, home to big names like Adele, Beyoncé, Harry Styles, Central Cee, Calvin Harris, Dominick Fike, and more.
On March 5, Columbia Records announced that Jennie’s studio album “Ruby” has surpassed 450,000. Given Jennie’s immense popularity in Korea and abroad, the album is expected to become a million-seller on day one.
As stated above, it contains 15 tracks including collabs, with Dua Lipa, FKJ, Doechii, Dominick Fike, Childish Gambino, and Kali Uchis. Four tracks from the albums were pre-releasing, the remaining tracks will drop on Friday, March 7.
In October 2024, Jennie released the first pre-release track “Mantra” followed by “ZEN” and “Love Hangover” ft. Dominick Fike in January. The latest pre-release track was “ExtraL” with Doechii dropped last month. Three pre-release songs except “ZEN” charted on Billboard HOT 100. Jennie scored her personal best on HOT 100 with “ExtraL”, debuting at #75.

Jennie will launch her concert series, ‘The Ruby Experience‘, in the US, with shows in LA on March 6-7, and New York on March 10, Korea on March 15. She will perform songs from her debut album ‘Ruby’ and the proceeds from LA shows will go towards relief efforts for the LA fires.
