It is an eventful day for THE BOYZ fans as the group makes a comeback and member Sangyeon begins military enlistment.
Being the oldest member of the group, he will be the first one to begin his mandatory military service.
Sangyeon will kick off THE BOYZ’s military service enlistment period, starting with his own service today. He will undergo basic training and later join the army band.
Prior to his military enlistment, Sangyeon went live on Weverse with his fellow group members, where they took turns shaving his head.
In January, their new agency ONE HUNDRED announced, “Sangyeon applied to join the Army Military Band and received final acceptance notification from the Military Manpower Administration. On the day of his enlistment, we will not hold any separate events to ensure safety and prevent confusion.”
THE BOYZ parted ways with IST Entertainment in December and continued their journey with ONE HUNDRED. They are making their first comeback after being transferred to the new agency.
This comeback is particularly meaningful, as it will be THE BOYZ’s last full-group promotion for a while, as the members prepare to take a hiatus for military service.
They will make their first comeback under ONE HUNDRED with their 3rd studio album “Unexpected” today. It contains 10 songs including “VVV” (title track), “Feel The Bass”, “Rose”, “Nothing”, “Miss Demeanor”, and more.
Meanwhile, fans are sending their best wishes to Sangyeon as he embarks on his military journey. They are hoping for his safe and healthy return. He will return to the spotlight next year, with his military discharge scheduled for September 16, 2026.
