The family of the late Kim Sae Ron has come forward with some very serious claims.
At a press conference in Seoul on May 7, they presented a recording that seems to suggest a sexual relationship between Kim Sae Ron and Kim Soo Hyun when she was a middle school student.
The representative from the ‘Garosero Research Institute YouTube channel, Kim Se Ui, was also present at the press conference. This is the first time the bereaved family has publicly spoken about their relationship since the first press conference on March 27.
During the press briefing, an audio recording of the late Kim Sae Ron was released, where she is heard talking about her first sexual encounter with Kim Soo Hyun.
Kim Se Ui presented a recording of the late actress discussing her relationship with the 37-year-old actor with an informant. This conversation reportedly took place a month before her death, on January 10, 2025, at a coffee shop in New Jersey.

But Soo Hyun oppa and the people at his company, Gold Medalist, are really scary – they are capable of doing anything, so you must keep this a secret. I feel like I’ve been used since middle school. That bastard sent me photos of himself with the girls he slept with—those kinds of photos. He sent me a picture of the idol he slept with, saying he saved them as ‘seaweed’ because they smelled like seaweed. If I had the means, I would have exposed everything.”
Then, she said, “The first time I did it with that bastard was during the winter break of my second year of middle school. Now that I think about it, should I say I was taken advantage of? Everyone has the same reaction. They say I’m crazy. Why did I stay quiet?
Meanwhile, the 24-year-old actress Kim Sae Ron was found dead in her Seoul home on February 16. Her family has made claims, starting March 10, through Garo Sero Research Institute, alleging a six-year relationship between the two, beginning in 2015 when she was underage, and lasting until 2021.
Kim Soo Hyun denied these claims at a press conference on March 31. His legal team then filed a lawsuit on April 1st against bereaved family members and an individual claiming to be her aunt, seeking 12 billion won in damages.
