ITZY has joined the June comeback lineup with the album “Girls Will Be Girls”.
JYP Entertainment confirmed their comeback on May 9, and a couple of days later, they officially announced the new album.
On May 12 at midnight, JYP dropped the first teaser for the album “Girls Will Be Girls” on all official social media channels, out next month.
ITZY will release their mini-album “Girls Will Be Girls” after approximately 8 months since the successful release of “Gold” in October last year.
Their 9th mini-album with the title tracks “Gold” and “Imaginary Friend” debuted at No. 3 on the Circle Chart and has sold over 700K copies so far. “Gold” debuted at No.60 on Billboard 200, their 7th consecutive album to enter the prestigious chart.
Their last comeback was especially meaningful as member Lia joined the lineup after nearly a year of hiatus due to mental health struggles.
Along with the comeback announcement, ITZY has released promotions scheduled for the upcoming album “Girls Will Be Girls”.

“Girls Will Be Girls” is a confident statement of self-confidence, perfectly embodying ITZY’s “teen crush” identity.
ITZY has maintained an unstoppable momentum since their 2019 debut. They have released multiple million-selling EPs and hit songs like “DALLA DALLA,” “CAKE,” “WANNABE,” “SNEAKERS,” and more.
Last year, ITZY wrapped their 2nd world tour “Born To Be”, which ran from February 2024 to August 2024. They held 32 cities across Asia, Oceania, Europe, Latin America, Japan, and North America. Since Lia did not participate in the world tour due to the hiatus, fans hope they will embark on a new tour as a full group.
Meanwhile, ITZY will release their upcoming album “Girls Will Be Girls” globally on June 9 at 6 pm KST.
