Fans can look forward to the return of Lee Dong Wook and Kim Hye Jun, reprising their roles as the enigmatic uncle Jin Man and his niece Ji An. A mix of familiar faces and exciting new additions have been made to the cast.

A Shop For Killers 2 is going to be deadlier, darker, and more intense as Ji An continues to fight assassins.

Here’s a comprehensive look at what we know so far about “A Shop For Killers” Season 2.

A Shop For Killer Season 2 Release Date

Disney+ has officially confirmed that “A Shop For Killers” Season 2 is slated to premiere in 2026. While an exact date within 2026 has not yet been announced, production is already underway.

The 8-episode first season was aired on Disney+ from January 17 to February 7 last year.

Plotlines: What Will Season 2 Be About?

Season 1 of “A Shop For Killers” left viewers on the edge of their seats. Jung Ji An (Kim Hye Jun) inherited her mysterious uncle Jeong Jin Man’s (Lee Dong Wook) perilous “shopping mall” business. However, it was not an easy fight as she faced off against a myriad of dangerous assassins.

We also saw Jin Min is not dead after all (though severely injured) as he was seen exiting the taxi at Ji An’s house. The sequel will shed light on his past and how the uncle-niece duo will fight enraged and deadlier enemies.

Jin Man’s past was shrouded in mystery, and Season 1 only scratched the surface. Season 2 will likely delve deeper into his history and the origins of “MurtheHelp.”

The first season left several questions unanswered, particularly regarding the full extent of Babylon’s operations. Season 2 is expected to explore these mysteries while introducing new challenges for Ji An. Early reports suggest that the story will take viewers to her university days. There, she stumbles upon a sinister online app offering assassination services, a discovery that puts her back in the crosshairs of deadly killers.

Returning Cast and Roles

The heart of the series remains the not-so-usual relationship between Lee Dong Wook and Kim Hye Jun. A Shop for Killers 2 will see the return of Lee Dong Wook and Kim Hye Jun, who will reprise their roles as Jin Man and Ji An, respectively. Lee’s portrayal of Jin Man, a former mercenary, was a standout in the first season, as was Kim’s performance as Ji An.

Jo Han Sun will return as Bale, the antagonist from the rival organization Babylon. Geum Hae Na as Min Hye, Lee Tae Young as Brother, and Kim Min as Pasin are among the returning cast members.

Fresh Faces and New Threats

Season 2 introduces fresh antagonists to escalate the tension. Hyun Ri, known for her roles in Pachinko and Wheel of Fortune and Fantasy, joins as Q, the leader of Babylon’s East Asia mercenary team. Her character is described as a cold, calculating strategist who will challenge Ji-an in unexpected ways.

Japanese actor Masaki Okada (Drive My Car, Confessions) plays J, Q’s younger brother and co-leader of the mercenary unit. Additionally, Jung Yun Ha steps in as Kusanagi, the head of Babylon’s East Asia branch. The fresh characters signal a larger, more organized threat looming over Ji An and her allies.

A Shop for Killers Season 2 is in development, with a 2026 release expected. The series will continue to follow Ji An’s journey, exploring her relationships with returning characters and confrontations with new villains.

Fans can revisit Season 1 on Disney+ and Hulu while waiting for the new season.
