Despite the ongoing legal dispute between NewJeans and their agency ADOR, member Danielle was recently spotted in Japan for an Omega event. She was accompanied by ADOR staff.
The appearance comes just a couple of days after South Korea’s high court rejected the group’s appeal against an injunction limiting their individual activities outside the agency.
On June 18, 2025, Danielle attended the launch of the new Aqua Terra 30 mm launch event in Kyoto as a brand ambassador. Besides her, Han Ji Min, TEMS, Ariana DeBose, Ashely Graham, and Marisa Abela attended the Omega event. The Australian-Korean star sported an off-shoulder floor-length gown and completed the look with a statement-making blonde bob.
Previously, the court accepted the label’s “indirect compulsion” on May 29, 2025. This means each member will pay a hefty fine of 1 billion won ($725,000) per violation if they engage in activities without ADOR’s approval.
Despite the recent court ruling in ADOR’s favor regarding NewJeans’ activities, Danielle fulfilled her duties as an Omega ambassador at a Kyoto event this week.
ADOR staff accompanied her on the trip, as the appearance was part of a pre-existing endorsement contract signed before the legal dispute escalated.

The court barred NewJeans members from solo and independent activities in late March. The court also rejected the objection filed by the group. Members later filed an appeal, but it was dismissed on June 17, 2025.
As a result, NewJeans can not sign ad deals or carry out activities independently until the verdict in the main lawsuit is reached. So far, two hearings have been held regarding the validity of their exclusive contract, and the third trial is set for July 24.
The legal team of NewJeans has emphasized that reconciliation is unlikely, and members refuse to return to the ‘new’ ADOR after the dismissal of former CEO Min Hee Jin.
After unilaterally terminating the contract with ADOR, they are embroiled in multiple lawsuits and have not released new music. Their attempt to return to the K-pop scene as NJZ failed after the court barred them from independent activities and imposed heavy fines if they violated.
After the high court decided to dismiss the appeal, ADOR expressed gratitude to the court for its judgment. They hoped that NewJeans members would return to the label and celebrate their 3rd anniversary next month.
