KINGDOM recently found themselves in the midst of controversy surrounding their upcoming album cover. The image sparked a heated debate among fans and the public, leading to widespread criticism. The album cover of History Of Kingdom: Part VII. Jahan was released in September 19. Soon after the release, people pointed out its similarities to the Quran, the Islamic scripture.

Muslims and fans around the world find the imitation disrespectful and offensive. Thousands of people criticized the Kpop group and GF Entertainment and asked them to change the album design.

On September 21, the KINGDOM’s agency announced that preorders for the upcoming album would be postponed due to ‘internal circumstances.’ Finally, GF Entertainment has come forward and apologized for the oversight regarding KINGDOM’s 7th mini album cover.

In response to the controversy, KINGDOM’s agency responded saying ‘It happened due to ignorance and carelessness.’ Further, GF Entertainment apologized in the official statement, ‘We bow our heads in apology to Muslims as well as everyone who felt inconvenienced.’

They informed the fans that they had discarded the album and were going for complete re-production. History Of Kingdom: Part VII. Jahan is set to release on October 18, as announced previously. As per the announcement, fans can pre-order the album on September 26 at 11 AM KST.

In response, the group issued a formal apology, aiming to address the concerns and take responsibility for their actions.
