Fans of Spanish romance cinema are eagerly awaiting Culpa Nuestra (Our Fault), the third and final installment of the Culpables trilogy. Based on Mercedes Ron’s bestselling novels, the films (Culpa Mía / My Fault, Culpa Tuya / Your Fault, and now Culpa Nuestra / Our Fault) have become a streaming juggernaut on Prime Video.

With Nicole Wallace and Gabriel Guevara reprising their roles as Noah and Nick, the finale promises a powerful conclusion filled with passion, forgiveness, and high emotional stakes.

Here’s everything confirmed so far about Culpa Nuestra release date, trailer, plot, cast, and the twists fans can expect.

Culpa Nuestra Release Date and Where to Watch

Our Fault (Culpa Nuestra) will premiere on October 16, 2025, streaming exclusively on Amazon Prime Video in over 240 countries and territories. Like the first two entries, the film will skip theaters and be available directly to subscribers worldwide. This global launch strategy ensures fans everywhere—from Madrid to New York—can watch the finale simultaneously.

Our Fault Trailer

The official trailer, released in early September, has already broken viewing records, amassing millions of views within its first week. The preview sets the stage at a wedding—Jenna (Eva Ruiz) and Lion (Víctor Varona) are tying the knot—where Noah and Nick unexpectedly reunite after a painful year apart.

The trailer highlights lingering chemistry through tense glances, awkward encounters, and unresolved emotions. Director Domingo González keeps the visual continuity of earlier films but matures the tone. The biggest reveal is the introduction of Simon (Fran Morcillo, from Money Heist), whose presence immediately complicates Noah and Nick’s fragile reunion.

Plot Overview

Picking up after the events of Culpa Tuya, the story follows Noah and Nick as they attempt to rebuild their lives apart. Noah has focused on her career, establishing herself with independence and resilience. Nick, on the other hand, has stepped into his new role as heir to his grandfather’s business empire.

When they come face to face at their friends’ wedding, both are forced to confront unresolved pain, betrayal, and a love that refuses to disappear. The core question driving the narrative: Can they forgive each other, or are pride and resentment too strong to overcome?

The main conflict comes from Nick’s struggle to forgive Noah for past betrayals. The story questions whether their relationship can overcome resentment and pride when given another chance. Director Domingo González said the trilogy is about “first love and feelings that are universal.” For the final film, he wanted to add more mature dialogue while keeping the emotional honesty of the earlier movies.

Cast

The ensemble cast brings back fan favorites alongside fresh additions:

  • Nicole Wallace as Noah – career-driven and determined, but still haunted by first love.
  • Gabriel Guevara as Nick – torn between pride, love, and family obligations.
  • Eva Ruiz as Jenna – the bride and Noah’s close friend.
  • Víctor Varona as Lion – the groom, whose happiness contrasts Noah and Nick’s turmoil.
  • Marta Hazas, Iván Sánchez, Gabriela Andrada, Álex Béjar, Javier Morgade, and Felipe Londoño in supporting roles.

New addition:

  • Fran Morcillo (from Money Heist) as Simon – an important character who could shift Noah’s romantic future.

Plot Twists to Expect

While the filmmakers have kept tight control of spoilers, several likely twists are generating buzz:

1. The Simon Factor – Simon’s presence could introduce a love triangle, testing whether Nick can overcome jealousy and Noah can move beyond her past.

2. Wedding Drama – Weddings in cinema rarely go smoothly; expect shocking revelations or emotional outbursts that disrupt the celebration.

3. Family and Power Struggles – Nick’s new role as heir might bring corporate intrigue and force him to choose between love and legacy.

4. Fan-Driven Changes – González has admitted that fan feedback influenced script adjustments, saying, “Fans didn’t want to see some things… So we had to deal with that part of the story in another way.” This means book readers may be surprised by deviations in this finale.

5. Hidden Truths – The trilogy has thrived on secrets; it’s almost certain that one final revelation will change the course of Noah and Nick’s relationship.

Meanwhile, Spanish romance cinema has rarely enjoyed the global spotlight the way the Culpables trilogy has. Starting as a Wattpad story before becoming a New York Times bestseller, Mercedes Ron’s saga has now reached millions of viewers worldwide.

As González himself has said, many trilogies lose strength by the final installment, but early reactions suggest Culpa Nuestra might be the strongest entry yet.

On October 16, 2025, fans will finally learn if Noah and Nick’s love survives betrayal, pride, and the arrival of Simon—or if their journey ends in heartbreak.
