BOYNEXTDOOR will return with new music this October, joining the heated lineup of LE SSERAFIM, FIFTY FIFTY, and more. Earlier this month, the comeback was confirmed by KOZ Entertainment, a subsidiary of HYBE, as the group finalized preparations for their next release.
On September 23 at midnight, KOZ Entertainment dropped the trailer for their 5th EP ‘The Action’ on all social media platforms.
BOYNEXTDOOR will drop the new album, ‘The Action,’ on all music platforms on October 20 at 6 PM KST. This release will be their first in five months since their fourth mini-album No Genre, which arrived in May.
No Genre was a milestone for the group, becoming a million-seller in just five days and debuting at No. 62 on the Billboard 200 dated May 31, their fourth consecutive entry on the chart.
The upcoming album, The Action follows their recent wins at the 2025 The Fact Music Awards, where BOYNEXTDOOR received two trophies: Artist of the Year and World Best Wave, the latter awarded to artists who influence cultural trends.
During their acceptance speech, the members thanked their fandom, ONEDOOR, and shared, “Please show a lot of interest as we are making a comeback with a new album in October. Encouraged by this award, we will work even harder.”
For The Action, BOYNEXTDOOR has collaborated with the production team, IDIOTS, whom they previously worked with for their second Japanese single, BOYLIFE, storyfilm. The team recently collaborated with new HYBE boy group, CORTIS, on their music videos “GO!” and “What You Want.”
Since their debut with the First Love Trilogy (Who!, Why.., How?), followed by 19.99 and No Genre, the group has shown consistent step-by-step growth with each project. Expectations are now high for their October comeback, and fans are expecting another million-seller.
