MEOVV has made an exciting comeback announcement ahead of Chuseok. The five-member group is set to make their comeback with a new album in October, as previously confirmed by their agency, THEBLACKLABEL, on September 25, 2025. This will be the group’s first new music release since their Japanese digital single, “ME ME ME,” which dropped in July.
On October 3 at midnight, THEBLACKLABEL revealed through its official channels that the group will return on October 14 at 6 PM (KST) with a new digital single titled “BURNING UP.”
The “BURNING UP” teasers leading up to the release have already sparked plenty of buzz. One set highlights a nostalgic Y2K vibe with grainy feature phone aesthetics, quirky 8-bit sounds, and even the group’s signature cat stretching motion.
Another clip shows a car’s taillight melting from extreme heat—a striking teaser that perfectly matches the fiery energy hinted at in the song’s title, “BURNING UP.”
MEOVV had previously teased this release during their acceptance speech for the ‘Global Hot Trend’ award at ‘The Fact Music Awards 2025,’ where they told fans they were “preparing a hot new song.” This upcoming album will mark their first Korean release since their debut EP, My Eyes Open VVide, which was released in May 2025.
MEOVV, made up of members Sooin, Gawon, Anna, Narin, and Ella, debuted on September 6, 2024, with the digital single “Meow.”
They followed with their second single, “Toxic,” in November last year. Their debut EP, My Eyes Open VVide, came out on May 12, 2025, and featured six tracks, including the pre-release single “Hands Up” and the lead track “Drop Top,” a pop-rock song that showcased a shift from their initial “chic black cat” concept to a more vibrant, colorful image.
In addition to their music, MEOVV has been actively expanding their presence. They recently launched their official light stick and have been confirmed for major award shows later in 2025, including the Asia Artist Awards and the Korea Grand Music Awards.
Meanwhile, MEOVV will drop their new digital single, “BURNING UP,” after Chuseok on October 14.
