MONSTA X will cap off the remarkable year with a special movie that will hit theaters this December. The film, titled MONSTA X: CONNECT X in CINEMA, will open on December 3 and give fans an inside look at the group’s decade-long journey with MONBEBE.
The movie captures moments from 2025 MONSTA X CONNECT X, their first full-group concert in three years. These concerts were held over three nights at the KSPO DOME in Seoul this past July. It also includes behind-the-scenes footage, personal interviews, and live performances from the show. The film will capture the complete celebration of the group’s 10-year history.
The concert film will showcase MONSTA X’s powerful stage presence with songs that fans love. MONSTA X: CONNECT X in CINEMA will include their debut track “TRESPASS,” fan-favorite hits like “BEASTMODE” and “GAMBLER,” and “Fire & Ice.” Plus, it features performances of new songs from their latest album, which was first unveiled during the concert. The movie also features all-live band sessions and the grand visuals from the KSPO DOME.
Fans can expect to see a more personal side of the members, too. In exclusive interviews, Shownu, Minhyuk, Kihyun, Hyungwon, Jooheon, and I.M reflect on their early days, their toughest moments, and their bond with MONBEBE. They also talk about what’s next for them as a group and how far they have come.
MONSTA X: CONNECT X in CINEMA will be available in multiple formats — SCREENX, 4DX, and ULTRA 4DX — to give fans an immersive, high-quality experience.
The film will be shown exclusively at CGV theaters in South Korea starting December 3, and will also screen in select international cinemas on December 3 and 7. Tickets go on sale November 4 through the official website, monstax-incinemas.com.
This movie follows an already packed year for MONSTA X. Earlier this year, the group reunited as a full team after Hyungwon completed his military service in May. Just days after his discharge, Hyungwon held a special free fan event called Hyungwon’s Wonder Garden in Seoul.
There, he reconnected with fans and shared stories from his time in the army. He has since returned to his regular schedules, including being announced as the MC for the Asia Star Entertainer Awards 2025.
The group’s anniversary concert in Seoul was followed by two shows in Yokohama, Japan, in August, and both events drew huge crowds.
Around the same time, MONSTA X released new music, “NOW PROJECT” with vol. 1 in May. It was a digital album that re-recorded older tracks to include MONSTA X members’ vocals, who had been serving in the military during the original releases.
Then, in September, they made their long-awaited comeback with a new mini-album THE X, their first in four years. The title track “N the Front” showed their signature energy, and members Joohoney, Hyungwon, and I.M took part in writing and producing the songs.
While MONSTA X is celebrating their journey as a group, each member is also thriving individually. Shownu recently received an award for his web variety show, Minhyuk is hosting Weekly Idol, Kihyun joined the cast of a new TV show, and I.M is running his own radio program.
Mark your calendar for December 3 when MONSTA X: CONNECT X will hit cinemas.
