Actress Hyeri and actor Na In Woo are in talks to star in the upcoming drama project, ‘Caution, Hazardous Wife.’
On April 7, Top Star News reported that Hyeri is considering playing the lead role in the Korean remake of the 2017 Japanese NTV drama. Her agency, Sublime, confirmed the news, stating it is “a project currently under review”. Later that same day, OSEN reported that Na In Woo has also received an offer to take on the male lead role.
‘Caution, Hazardous Wife’ is set to depict the dizzying “one roof, one bed” life of a spy wife on temporary leave and her husband, a National Intelligence Service (NIS) black agent. Hyeri has been offered the role of Jin Ja Young, a spy who chooses marriage as part of her undercover mission. In the original Japanese drama, this role was played by actress Haruka Ayase.
Na is reportedly in talks to play her husband, an NIS black agent who is also concealing his true identity.
The drama will be directed by Yoo Seon Dong, known for his stylish action direction in ‘The Uncanny Counter’ series. This project would mark Hyeri’s second consecutive collaboration with director Yoo, following her work on the ENA drama ‘Dream to You’.
Rumors about a Korean remake first came up in 2023, and actress Chae Soo Bin was reportedly in talks for the lead role back then. Fast forward to 2026, and the project has gone through changes in both its story and cast.
Hyeri has had a busy and successful career. She received love for her role in the webtoon-based GL drama ‘Friendly Rivalry’ in February of last year. Following that drama, she held a fan meeting tour from June to October. Most recently, she appeared in the Netflix variety show ‘Agents of Mystery’’ in February and was selected as the MC for the upcoming Disney+ variety show ‘Style Wars.’ She is also preparing to meet fans with the 2026 Asia Fan Meeting Tour ‘HYERIDE,’ starting this coming June.
Na In Woo, who made his debut in 2013, has solidified his acting career through various hit dramas. His notable works include ‘Mr. Queen,’ ‘River Where the Moon Rises’, and ‘Marry My Husband’.
Last year, he won the Excellence Award for Best Actor in a Miniseries at the MBC Drama Awards for his role in ‘Motel California‘. He is currently preparing to film the Netflix original series ‘Love O’Clock’ alongside Shin Hye Sun.
Meanwhile, ‘Caution, Hazardous Wife’ is currently in discussions regarding its broadcast on a TV channel.
