Bae Suzy, the talented actress, recently opened up about the special attachment she felt towards her character, Doona. In an interview with Cosmopolitan Korea, Suzy shared her heartfelt emotions and the unique connection she developed with Doona throughout the filming process.
Her upcoming Netflix drama is slated to release on October 20. In her latest drama, Suzy plays a retired idol who meets an ordinary college student and shares a house with him.
She gets candid about the special connection she felt with her character. Being an idol herself, the Uncontrollably Fond actress revealed that the character brought back a lot of memories from her idol days.
She added, ‘My experience was different from Doona’s, but I was still able to understand Doona better than anyone else.’ The Vagabond actress revealed that she did not have time to feel and express pain like Doona and kept her emotions to herself.
She further talked about her character saying, ‘She also has a vicious side where she speaks meanly on purpose.’
When asked about what her life would be like if she retired and opted for campus life like Doona. Her answer may surprise fans, the 28-year-old actress said, ‘I think I would have lived really well. Enjoy it more than anyone else.’
Suzy confessed that she became more confident in her acting skills after her lead role in Anna. She said, ‘I am very satisfied that people no longer see me as just a bright and pretty person.’
