On November 30, Rolling Stone released the list of Top 100 Albums of 2023. SUGA’s D-Day and NewJeans’ Get Up secured spots on the prestigious list of Top 100 Albums of 2023 by Rolling Stone.
D-Day was the third release by the BTS rapper, containing 10 songs with the title track Haegeum. The album ranked 69th on the Rolling Stone’s Top 100 Albums of 2023.
The prestigious magazine stated, “Haegeum also can be translated as “liberation,” and Agust D unpacks that idea in knotty, spat-out rhymes that take aim at conformity, the trappings of “success,” and information overload.”
On the other hand, NewJeans’ second EP Get Up ranked 33 on the list. The magazine praised the “super-elastic hooks and retro-futuristic production” on hit songs Super Shy and ASAP.
Moreover, the British magazine stated, “The five-headed hype machine that took K-pop by storm with their 2022 debut came back even sleeker and smarter with their second EP.”
More recently, NewJeans Ditto secured a spot in the Top 25 Apple Music Global Year-end chart.
