Director Jung Dong Yoon and writer Kang Eun Kyung recently shared about the highly anticipated Gyeongseong Creature Season 2. They shared exciting details about the upcoming season, which is set to be released later this year.
Gyeongseong Creature is an incredible story that follows two young individuals as they face a monstrous creature born from greed in the darkest days of spring 1945. The talented duo of Director Jeong Dong Yoon and Kang Eun Kyung joined forces to bring this captivating tale to life.
Previously, the Gyeongseong Creature Season 2 was confirmed, now, the director and writer have shared some exciting details. Director Jung mentioned that the love story between Jang Tae-sang (played by Park Seo-joon) and Yoon Chae-ok (played by Han So-hee) is far from over.
Tae-sang believes that Chae-ok is no longer alive, but in a surprising twist, Chae-ok opens his eyes. The second season will delve deeper into their story and unravel new developments.
In Season 2, he teased some new creatures, not the ones viewers have seen before. The main focus will be on Taesang and Chae-ok reuniting and dealing with the aftermath. The plan is to tell the story in 7 episodes. Director Jung Dong Yoon said If it was just more of the same, I might not have been as interested, but the fact that Season 2 takes on a modern-day twist makes it really appealing.
According to Writer Kang Eun Kyung, Season 2 will explore themes of memory, forgetting, and remnants. Additionally, she mentioned that there will be a stronger focus on romance.
