On January 25th, YG Entertainment shared a video called ‘BABYMONSTER Surprise Announcement’ on their official channel.

In the video, executive producer Yang Hyun-suk shared some exciting news. He mentioned that Ahyeon has fully recovered her health and is now back at the company. She has already started recording songs for the upcoming mini album.

Originally planned as a seven-member group consisting of Ruka, Pharita, Asa, Rami, Rora, Chiquita, and Ahyeon, BABYMONSTER unfortunately had to debut as a six-member group due to Ahyeon’s health issues. However, with her return now confirmed, fans can look forward to seeing the complete lineup in action.

According to reports, the upcoming mini-album set to release in April will feature special versions of Ahyeon’s debut songs BATTER UP and Stuck in The Middle.

Yang Hyun-suk, the General Producer, shared some exciting news about YG’s internal producer team. He mentioned that they have expanded the team from around 10 people to around 40 to 50 people. With this larger team, they expect the music work to proceed much faster than before.

Lastly, it was revealed that BABYMONSTER will release a full-length album around the fall.
