On February 19, BIGHIT MUSIC announced that J-Hope’s special album, HOPE ON THE STREET VOL.1, is set to be released at 1 PM on March 29.
HOPE ON THE STREET VOL.1 is an album that focuses on street dance. It’s packed with 6 amazing tracks that showcase J-Hope’s incredible growth as an artist.
J-Hope not only created an amazing album but also planned a documentary series to go along with it. The documentary will provide a behind-the-scenes look at the making of the album, giving us a glimpse into the simultaneous production of both the music and the accompanying videos.
The BTS rapper and dancer wanted to express his message in a three-dimensional way, so he incorporated various forms of content. Before enlisting in the military, he even had the opportunity to connect and communicate through dance with talented dancers from different genres in Osaka, Paris, New York, and Seoul.
The documentary that shares the same name as the album will have its first broadcast at midnight on March 28. It’s going to be available for viewing in 240 countries around the world through Prime Video. For fans in Korea, they’ll be able to catch it on TV.
In other news, J-Hope joined the army as an active-duty soldier in April last year, and he’s expected to be discharged on October 17th.
