After a three-year break, the talented actor, Kim Soo Hyun has made his much-awaited grand return to the screen.
On March 7, a production presentation was held for tvN’s new Saturday-Sunday drama called Queen of Tears. It took place at Ramada Seoul Sindorim in Guro-gu, Seoul. The event was attended by actors including Kim Soo Hyun, Kim Ji Won, Park Sunghoon, Kwak Dong Yeon, Lee Joobin, and many others.
When asked about his three-year break, Kim Soo Hyun shared, “I wasn’t trying to take a break like I was in the military, but I was diligently looking for work.”
In Queen of Tears, he portrays the character Baek Hyun-woo, a married man, which is a new experience for him. Kim Soo Hyun explained, “It was difficult,” and added, “We’ve been married for three years, but there was a spark somewhere in our hearts. It was difficult to express the excitement that never went away.”
He revealed having discussions with the director about the role, “I discussed with the directors and came up with the points that a ripe couple can share in their excitement together.”
Fans are excited to see the Kim Soo Hyun and Kim Ji Won chemistry unfold in Queen of Tears on March 9.
