Jang Da Ah, a newcomer in acting, discussed being recognized as IVE Jang Wonyoung’s older sister and aims to establish her own identity.
In an interview with Sports Chosun today, she discussed the finale of the TVING original series Pyramid Game.
She expressed gratitude for being part of the show, saying, “I was grateful to be able to debut as a good character in a good work after dreaming of becoming an actress for a long time.”
The 23-year-old added, “I prepared my acting keeping in mind how I could make the character Baek Harin, who has a double appearance, look like the character herself as much as possible. I thought it would make me feel even better if people hated Harin more than anyone else,”
After showing impressive acting chops, she couldn’t escape being recognized as ‘Jang Wonyoung’s older sister.’
She mentioned, It wasn’t the publicity I intended. There are people who say we look alike, but I don’t know. Growing up, there was never a time when I thought we looked alike.”
Da Ah further revealed that Wonyoung did not have any influence on her choice of pursuing acting. She shared, “Each of us had something we wanted to do, and in a way, it turns out on a similar path. Of course, my dream was to become an actor, but I think it was a coincidence that we had something in common through life in the entertainment industry.”
Lastly, she revealed that her parents knew of her passion for acting and supported her.
