ILLIT, the newest girl group from HYBE, made it onto the US Billboard chart just 8 days after their debut.
Based on the most recent U.S. Billboard chart released on April 2 (local time), ILLIT’s title track Magnetic from their debut mini-album SUPER REAL ME secured the 63rd position on the Global 200 Chart and the 33rd spot on the Global Chart (excluding the US). This marked the highest debut ranking for a K-pop girl group on both charts.
Furthermore, SUPER REAL ME landed at the 10th spot on the World Album Chart and 15th on the Heatseekers Album Chart, which focuses on up-and-coming artists gaining global recognition. ILLIT accomplished the milestone of appearing on a total of 4 detailed Billboard charts in its debut week.
In the first week of its release, their mini album recorded sales exceeding 380,000 copies (according to the Hanteo Chart). This marks the highest first-week sales for a debut album by a K-pop girl group.
Lastly, the group secured their first music broadcast win on SBS’ M The Show.
