NewJeans has two comebacks scheduled in May and June along with their Japanese debut. At such a crucial time for the group, fans were worried that the HYBE-ADOR conflict might affect the future activities of NewJeans.
A reliable source informed a Korean media outlet that NewJeans comeback will proceed as planned whether or not ADOR CEO Min Hee Jin steps down.
Despite the conflict between HYBE and its label, the source revealed that it is HYBE’s priority to push forward with the schedule without making any changes.
The group’s first comeback is scheduled for May 24 followed by Japan debut and Tokyo Dome fanmeeting on June 21 and June 26-27 respectively.
NewJeans has been caught in the middle of the feud between HYBE and ADOR. After the audit commenced by HYBE revealing CEO Min Hee Jin’s takeover attempt, ADOR, in an official statement, blamed ILLIT for copying NewJeans’ concept to be the cause of the conflict.
