It was confirmed that the well-known rapper who turned himself in to the authorities for drug-related issues was Sik-K.
As per the latest report by Ten Asia obtained from police sources on April 29, it was disclosed that the rapper in his thirties who surrendered to the police in January for drug use was indeed Sik-K.
Back in January, the incident of the rapper surrendering due to drug issues stirred up a lot of buzz.
However, the specific identity of the rapper was kept under wraps since it was during the investigation phase before any formal charges were made. During that time, he was escorted by the police to a nearby precinct for safety.
Sik-K was later taken to the Seoul Western District Prosecutors’ Office without being detained, facing allegations of violating the Narcotics Control Act.
In the course of the police investigation, a thorough examination by the National Institute of Forensic Science showed a positive result for Philopon.
On the work front, Sik-K dropped a new album in February and was set to perform at the ‘Hip Hop Playa Festival’ on May 4. While his name is still on the promotional list, it might stir up some controversy if a person charged with drug offenses takes the stage.
